This new interest has led to the question at the center of my most recent works:
What would a union between (Lion-Man) and the Venus yield?
How does the union of these two figures reflect on migration, identity, culture, and hybridity in today’s complex and technologically-loaded world?
I have used significant characteristics of the original sculptures to sketch five generations of offspring, composing The Family Tree. I made “Roots” based on this pencil drawing and planned to create reproductions of the Lion man and Venus figurines, using 3D printing technology and original 3D data.
